Collectors' Book Salon: Tony Weller and Joan NaySubmitted by Lane on Tue, 01/08/2019 - 4:09pm
Book-lovers and collectors meet at Weller Book Works Collectors' Book Salons on the last Friday of each month, January through October. Serious and frivolous bibliophiles meet in our Rare Book Department for friendship conversation, edification and bibliolust. We start at 6:30 pm and at 7:15, an invited bibliophile leads the Collectors' Chat about a topic of her or his particular knowledge and passion. And at each salon there is also a special deal on rare books.
Friday, February 22, brings us TALES FROM THE BOOK TRADE with Tony Weller and Joan Nay. In 2009, the Utah Library Association invited Tony and Joan to make a rare book presentation of their own design. With over six decades of experience and too many stories, they decided to weave several tales together, presented briskly, with a theatrical soundtrack. They jumbled tips, great finds, gossip, trivia, etc., and presented them quickly. For the Salon on February 22, Tony and Joan will present a new jumbled selection of tales from the rare book trade.
